Swaply was born in Romania from a simple frustration: a drawer full of perfectly good things no longer being used — and no easy way to swap them. Built in Romania, for the world.
The idea is universal: if I have something you need, and you have something I need — why involve money? Available in 43 languages across 40+ countries, Swaply connects people everywhere.
Swaply is where you swap directly — locally or internationally — with no commissions, no price haggling, no bank transfers. Just two items and two people who need what the other has.

Who We Are
Swaply was created by Petru Melinte, originally from Romania, now serving a global community. We're not a corporation. We're a real project, built on the belief that the barter economy is more human than the consumer economy — and that it should be accessible to everyone, everywhere.
Technology
Swaply is built with Next.js, React, Supabase, and Tailwind CSS. Hosted on Vercel, payments via Stripe. All code is written by a single developer — no team, no investors, just passion and coffee.
